Cassidy Hutchinson also known as Cassidy Jacqueline Hutchinson is a former American White House aide who assisted former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows during President Donald Trump’s Administration.

Cassidy Hutchinson became America’s most useful witness for the House committee when she provided her testimony on Donald Trump’s conduct and their political allies and their senior aides before and during the January 06, 2021 attack. When Cassidy Hutchinson gave her testimony she received huge media coverage when several media outlets started labeling her testimony as “explosive” and “compelling”, however, she also had to face criticism from the followers of Donald Trump.

Early Life and Education of Cassidy Hutchinson

Cassidy Hutchinson was born in the year 1996 in Pennington, New Jersey, United States. She lived her early life and was raised in Pennington, New Jersey. For graduation-level education, she joined Hopewell Valley Central High School in the year 2015. During the period from 2015 to 2018, she studied at Christoper Newport University.

In the year 2019, she completed her graduation from the Bachelor of Arts course in political science and American Studies. Cassidy Hutchinson has always described herself as a “first-generation college student.”

Career of Cassidy Hutchinson

Cassidy Hutchinson while attending Christoper Newport University joined Republican Senator Ted Cruz as an intern during the summer of  2016. For the Republican US House of Representatives whip Steve Scalise in the summer season of 2017. During the 2018 summer season, Cassidy Hutchinson served as an intern in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs and later she became a regular employee at the white house office.

In the year 2020, when Mark Meadows was appointed as Donald Trump’s 4th chief of staff he selected Cassidy Hutchinson to serve as an aide at the office. As a result of her hard work and efficiency, she was soon appointed as the Meadows’ principal assistant which she followed till the end of Trump’s presidency tenure. Her job profile was special assistant to the President and Coordinator of Legislative Affairs. 

She started to work in an office next to Mark Meadows office that was just down from the Oval Office. She started to prepare notes for the meetings and traveled with Meadows while monitoring his phone calls and managing his orders.

She was then specified as a close advisor and secret keeper of Meadows.

January 6 Committee testimony

As per the subpoena, Cassidy Hutchinson had to give depositions for 4 times totaling more than 24 hours in front of the committee before testifying in front of the television on June 28, 2022. Before her deposition on March 07 she was receiving several messages from her allies Trump saying her to demonstrate loyalty towards Trump during her testimony. Before her testimony she she replaced her attorney from Stefan Passantino who has good and deep connections with Donald Trump from Jody Hunt who was a former justice department official and chief of staff for Trump’s attorney general.

Events Leading to January 06

During her testimony on June 28 Cassidy Hutchinson said that she heard several mentions of the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys when the planning for the save America march was going on in the presence of Trump’s attorney general Rudy Giuliani. After this testimony, several leaders and officials were charged for having their roles in the January 06 United States Capitol Attack.

On January 03 2021 she testified that Pat Cipollone counsel at the White House pulled her and expressed his concern about Trump’s plan for March in the capitol along with his allies on January 06. Cassidy Hutchinson recalls that he mentioned, “ we all are going to be charged with every crime imaginable if we let that movement happen.”

In her testimony, Cassidy Hutchinson also mentioned that on December 01, 2022, Trump threw his lunch plate onto one of the walls in the White House dining room after he got to know about the public statement given by Attorney General William Barr that he has not got any evidence of election fraud in the investigation. On several other occasions also Trump flipped the tablecloth to thow all the contents on the tabe to go on the floor where some will break and others will feel down.
