Meet Rob Whitfield – Award Winning CEO

Early Life & Educational Qualification of Rob Whitfield

Rob Whitfield started in technology coding and testing at a major consulting firm and realized that people’s behavior makes or breaks business results – regardless of the tech being deployed. As a consequence, I became certified as a trainer in Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, and, believe it or not, Hypnosis!

I then focused on specializing in behavior change and transformation as a management consultant, partnering with organizations like Coca-Cola, Walmart, Warner Bros., and the UK Border Agency to deliver a return on investment via behavior change in the workplace. Along the way, I have helped thousands of people get the personal and business results they tried hard to achieve on their own, and it’s been an absolute privilege.

Over the past twelve years, based in Los Angeles and traveling the world to meet clients in their offices, I have really been able to hone my craft and put my skills to the test, coaching some of the most senior executives at Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, board members, and celebrities to truly unlock their full potential as individuals and as teams.

Mission, Vision & Redefine Winning of Rob Whitfield

Rob’s personal mantra is to ignite a passion for challenge and change so that everyone achieves their full potential. This also forms the basis of our work at Redefine Winning. Our mission is to elevate as many teams as we can to be the best they can be, reaching their full potential as what we call a Cohesive Team.

We use our research insights to create psychological safety and then listen to the wisdom of the client’s team. In doing so, we define how to be of service to the team and help open the team to change. We deliver high-quality, high-touch experiences that deliver immediate value and set a team up for long-term success. In as little as a few hours to a series of sessions that replace their regular staff meetings over a year, we partner every step of the way.

We leave our clients with the tools and practices to be successful, and we’re always around to support them as they bring new people into the team or face even bigger challenges.

We’ve had an incredible year, and we’re even more thrilled about what the future holds. We have worked closely with some incredible teams and helped them to achieve truly incredible 10X business outcomes. Many of our clients started out by taking our free diagnostic assessment, which becomes a real eye-opener for them to realize where their team is now, and where it could be if its full potential was realized. How Does Redefine Winning Stand on a Different Level in a Current Competitive Market?

Rather than teaching or training, like many companies, we focus on tackling business priorities and coach our clients on how to be successful in targeting what is important to them. We truly advance an organization’s agenda through our expert facilitation and team coaching. Our approach has always been to co-create solutions with our clients, we listen, we flex, and are agile in our approach to ensure maximum impact. Many of our competitors merely try and force solutions to problems without really tailoring solutions to the client’s needs.

With a defined aim or mission in mind, we coach and facilitate until the objective is met. We co-create facilitated experiences tailored to specific needs, such as ensuring the success of leadership, executive, and functional or cross-functional teams, as well as additional experiences focused on Agile Based on our full approach package, we offer Leadership, DE&I, Onboarding, Winning Through Conflict, World Class Hybrid Work, and even a Train The Trainer Experience. How can employees and companies foster teamwork and unity?

How Would You Suggest Employees & Organization Build Good Teamwork & Cohesion?

Great teams are those who live by the mantra that no one wins until everyone crosses the finish line together. Successful teams aren’t those who have several good performers, they are those who prioritize winning together. There are many attributes of a high-performing team, but if I had to narrow it down to 3, I would choose the following:

  1. Candor – teams that have a psychologically safe space to challenge one another in service of the goal are leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. This is the number 1 problem we see when supporting teams and organizations
  2. Effective communication – is a critical component of good team dynamics. It facilitates teamwork, trust, conflict resolution, knowledge sharing, decision-making, and overall team effectiveness. Teams may maximize their potential, achieve their goals, and create a good and productive work environment by emphasizing and developing excellent communication techniques. I have a video on this topic on my YouTube channel here.
  3. Accountability – teams that set specific actions, owners, and due dates for goals, and then hold one another accountable to these, are truly unstoppable!

How Do You Maintain a Healthy Work-Life Balance?

For me, my work is my passion, so the two go hand in hand. I love to spend time on long walks with my dogs, but even then, I’m still thinking about ideas for work and how I could help clients. I am very lucky to be doing something I genuinely love!

What Advice Would Rob Give to Any Young Entrepreneur?

While many people go into a field simply for the sake of money, expectations, or status, entrepreneurs often start off with something they’re passionate about and perhaps even love. Unfortunately, that niche isn’t easily manufactured for many and takes quite a bit of trial and error. Entrepreneurs should love something so much that they’re willing to bring a unique selling point, one that brings something new, to the table.

You should love what you’re doing so much until the long hours, chasing clients, getting rejected, and potential months of stagnation become worth it and digestible. While it’s important to break the ceiling, you must also play by the rules set in place by the market. I’ve had many mentors in my life who’ve inspired me and gave me the tools to eventually start my own business.

Even though competition is at an all-time high and the market is saturated, young entrepreneurs have additional media tools and resources that I didn’t have. Take advantage of the internet at your disposal! And finally, be good to yourself because it’s the only way that both your success and longevity can be sustained. If you’re treating yourself well, you’ll attract great talent that will help you win.
