SpaceX Falcon launch 2022

SpaceX Falcon Launch 2022

On October 27, 2022, SpaceX launched another big batch of satellites after which their rocket landed on a ship in the center of the ocean late at night.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket loaded with 53 Starlink satellites was launched from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base on the same day at 9:14 p.m. EDT (6:14 p.m. local California time; 0114 GMT on Oct. 28).

The SpaceX Falcon 9 took less than 9 minutes from takeoff to return on the floating SpaceX Droneship which was present in the Pacific Ocean.

It was the 8th flight and landing for this specially prepared rocket by SpaceX. In the previous mission, the SpaceX Falcon rocket helped in launching the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich Earth-observation satellite in November 2020 and after that NASA’s DART asteroid-smashing probe in November 2021 and 5 more successful missions of Starlink.

However, the Falcon 9’s upper stage continued to complete its task of deploying the 53 Starlink satellites in the low earth orbit just after 15.5 minutes of launch as per the planning.

Starlink has launched more than 3,500 satellites by using the rockets of SpaceX for its internet mega constellation via which the organization already provides internet service.

In the year 2022, only SpaceX has completed a total of 49 orbital missions among them almost two-thirds of the satellites were ferried in big Starlink batches skyward.
