Iván Muñiz’s Background and Education
We were curious about Iván Muñiz’s background, so we asked him to share something about his early life and educational qualifications.
Iván Muñiz: “My name is Iván Muñiz Rothgiesser, and I was born in the historic city of Cusco, Peru, in 1967. I initially pursued Business Administration at Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, specializing in marketing. In 1996, I moved to Madrid, Spain, where I spent three years completing an MBA in Business Management. Over the years, I expanded my academic horizons, studying Human Resources at El Tecnológico de Monterrey and becoming an Executive Coach (CEGO) in 2014. I was later certified as a CBC Coach under the mentorship of Fred Kofman. Most recently, in 2019, I earned a master’s degree in Higher Education Teaching at Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello in Chile, graduating with Magna Cum Laude distinction.
Professionally, I spent two decades at BBVA in the Business Banking area, working in both Peru and Spain. My passion for sharing knowledge led me to teach roles at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences and ESAN University, where I’ve been a professor for over a decade. Alongside teaching, I’ve built a career as an international speaker and writer. In 2013, I launched my blog Stories of My Life, which inspired a series of books that have resonated with readers worldwide.
I’m also the founder of MR Consultores SAC, an organization dedicated to executive coaching and training, and I’ve been privileged to share my experiences as a host of the Mundo Positivo program on Miraflores Digital TV. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the honor of receiving numerous awards, including Speaker of the Year (2018), International Grandmaster (2021), and the Ambassador of Peace distinction (2022).
Through all my roles—teacher, coach, writer, speaker, and communicator—I remain deeply committed to inspiring others, promoting education, and contributing to the development of individuals and communities worldwide.”
